The Shared Forest Group was launched at the New Forest Show last year. It’s aim is to encourage businesses and other organisations to increase the awareness of the special care needed when using the unfenced roads in the Forest. This is especially important when driving close to free roaming animals – which have right of way on all the unfenced roads – and in conditions of poor light or darkness.
In the May 2018 issue of our magazine you will read a featured in our church magazine by Dr. Jo Ivey who is the Shared Forest Project Co-ordinator of the New Forest Commoners Defence Association (we plan to include it online too, you’ll be able to search for it any Shared Forest future posts here!).
We all need to protect the beautiful New Forest plus the animal and plant life we share it with for now and the future. A table display with various information will be in the church, do help to promote safe driving and care of the Forest.
