The lastest news from Lymington URC is now available via the church or online.
This is a general advisory information from the church.
Please note that the Church Christmas Tree, kindly donated to the church by the Rotary Club of Lymington, will be erected and put in place on the larger section of the grassed area within the church forecourt on Thursday 22/11/18 and will stay in place until early New Year.
During this time the feed cables from the mains electric plugs will extend along the side pathway gravel trough. However, where this cable crosses the pathway at two (2) points we will place raised ramps to help to prevent trips/falls and protect the electric cables. These ramps may have a black non-slip foot thread top, but will also have visible coloured edging to indicate they are there. Please can you ensure you advise all those attending your events, classes, hirings or those who use the church site about these ramps and the location of the tree.
This is an important notice from the church and we would ask you to remind your attendees, particularly new ones, on a regular basis whilst the ramps are in place to help avoid unnecessary and unfortunate accidents.
The church takes Health & Safety (H&S) very seriously and we will safely place indicators/notices showing the location of these ramps.
As we go into the autumn/winter we thought it would be timely to ask you to cascade a safe driving message to everyone…….
Now that the summer is over, we would like to remind everyone that grazing animals – ponies, cows, sheep, donkeys – and pigs that will be out have right of way on all unfenced roads across the Forest. You may be late for work or the school run, but driving too fast for the conditions will only save you a few minutes – and may result in a distressing accident. Please give them space and #add3minutes.
And remember that roads are shared spaces. All road users – pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and motorists have equal rights on the roads and should respect and look out for each other. The majority of roads across the open Forest have no footpaths, nor even space for people or animals to seek refuge, so please drive with care and consideration of all other road users.
